1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using CodeMenu software or the Snippex (formerly Snippets Store) platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and End User License Agreement ("EULA"). If you do not agree to these terms, do not download, install, or use CodeMenu.
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time to improve clarity or reflect product updates. Updated versions will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
2. CodeMenu & Snippex Terms of Service
Acceptable Use & Community Guidelines
When sharing code snippets or interacting on Snippex / Snippets Store, you agree to maintain a respectful and constructive dialog. Snippex is exclusively a platform for sharing useful developer code snippets, AI prompts, and technical documentation.
- Content Scope: Shared snippets must be directly related to programming, markup languages, configuration files, or AI prompts. Advertising or off-topic posts are strictly prohibited.
- Prohibited Conduct: Death threats, harassment, stalking, hate speech, pornography, NSFW material, gore, or planning illegal activities are strictly disallowed.
- Security & Safety: Snippets must not contain malicious code, viruses, background data collection scripts, or unauthorized file access instructions.
Licensing & Public Domain (CC0)
All code snippets uploaded to Snippex are shared under the Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal (Public Domain) license.
By uploading a snippet, you represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to the content, and you consent to dedicate all copyright and related rights in that snippet to the public domain worldwide. Extiri assumes no liability for any code uploaded by users or third-party usage thereof.
Enforcement & Penalties
Failure to comply with community guidelines may result in penalties depending on severity, including:
- Snippet Deletion: Removal of snippets that violate rules or terms.
- Warnings & Strikes: Account warnings or strikes. Receiving 5 strikes results in losing access to Snippex.
- Account Blockade: Temporary or permanent ban from Snippex and removal of all uploaded snippets.
3. Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA)
CodeMenu applications distributed through the Apple App Store are licensed, not sold, to you. Your license is governed by Apple's Standard EULA terms outlined below:
a. Scope of License
Licensor grants you a non-transferable license to use CodeMenu on any Apple-branded products that you own or control as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not distribute, sub-license, reverse-engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the application.
b. Consent to Use of Data
You agree that Licensor may collect and use technical data and related information—including device specifications and system software data—to facilitate software updates, product support, and anonymous performance optimization. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed data handling practices.
c. Termination
This EULA is effective until terminated by you or Licensor. Your rights under this license will terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any terms.
d. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT USE OF THE APPLICATION IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL LICENSOR BE LIABLE FOR PERSONAL INJURY OR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION) ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APPLICATION.
e. Governing Law
Except as expressly provided in consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction, this EULA is governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflicts of law provisions.
